IF YOU ARE USING WINDOWS VISTA/WIN7 OR WIN8, AND CANNOT SAVE FILES TO THE DEFAULT ''\PROGRAM FILES\SCANCAT-LITE-PLUS'' AREA, THIS SHOULD SOLVE THAT PROBLEM

1 - Put your COMBO CD into the Computer and install the SCANCAT and ALL SOTHER productS on the cd to this "root Location"

        C:\Scancat-Lite-plus\

2 - Scancat-Lite-Plus
     When the Installation asks you were to install it
         INSTEAD OF the default location of:
             c:\Program Files\Scancat-Lite-plus

         INSTALL IT TO C:\Scancat-Lite-plus

3 - Once Scancat is installed, IF YOU HAVE THE COMBO CD
    then Install BOTH OF the other products
     to the same "location" of
               C:\Scancat-Lite-plus\RSD_DatabaseFiles
       and
               C:\Scancat-Lite-plus\MR_SCANNER_DATABASE_FILES

Basically on the "default location" just delete the "\Program Files\"
     part from the location, leaving only the c:\Scancat=Lite-Plus\etc etc

This will place all your software into a "public" location that will not
require "administrator privileges" to read and write and save files etc
