I seem not be able to program favorites into the HP-1.
I'm not sure if it is me or the scanner. If you are able to do this successfully,
I will call you and have you walk me through the process again.
What I saw was that it seemed to act like it was programming the unit,
but when I was finished, I had no new favorites list.
This works here, but I DID notice ''ONE'' change in how the radio works since the new
firmware upgrade. When you plug in the USB to the radio,
you need to choose the LEFT option (Mass storage)
1 - I loaded up my favorite HP RSD file
2 - On top go to Load Read Radio
3 - Choose Home Patrol Utilities,
and then the sub menu "Convert / Send RSD to Home Patrol
BE SURE YOU NAVIGATE TO THE DRIVE LETTER OF THE HP-1
MINE WAS DRIVE "L"
OTHERWISE IT WILL WRITE IT TO THE ''C:'' DRIVE AND THAT WON'T "WORK".
THIS MAY BE WHY IT LOOKS LIKE IT PROGRAMMED IT, BUT DIDN'T
4 - In the whitish type in / input box type in a "unique file name",
I chose the file name "Test RSD file"
5 - Then I pressed "''ACCEPT''"
6 - The next screen shows a list of all the existing "FAVORITES FILES "
But in the input box is the same name you just
entered on the previous screen. so just hit ''SAVE''
7 - unplug the USB from the radio
8 - You MAY have to go to Menu and Favorites and pick the one you
just programmed ("Test RSD file")... which I had to do
the file loaded and came up with 300+ frequencies and it scans like a champ
