Hi

You need to be certain the radio is actually "set" for computer connection. They come out of the box TURNED OFF For PC Control

Press MENU
        Go to XFER INFORMATION (PRESS ENTER)
        Go to PC CONTROL (PRESS ENTER)
        CHOOSE A BAUD RATE (WE SUGGEST 38400) (press enter)
        EXIT BY PRESSING MENU UNTIL RADIO IS SCANNING.

Then start up SCL
        Choose SELECT RADIO
        At that menu use the AutoConfigure to let SCL find the radio
        CLICK ACCEPT IF IT DETECTS THE RADIO.

IF YOU STILL DO NOT CONNECT WITH RADIO - It COULD be you have a comm port conflict. SUch as a PDS sync program, or PDA Sync driver

Comments: there doesnt seem to be comm. between the soft ware and the radio the baud is set in radio auto cofig sets at 9600 i tried slowing it down no luck when i go to create new system off of grid it does all that asks to inialize radio nothing happens
